An Unforgettable Gala Evening of Elegance, Music, and Award Celebration

On a sparkling evening filled with elegance and heartfelt celebration, our community came together for a truly unforgettable Gala Night - Symphony of Time - held at the exquisite 1 Hotel. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was magical - a warm glow of candles, elegant attire, and the soft strains of a five-string classical ensemble welcoming everyone during the aperitif and early dinner.

The evening began with vibrant networking in the grand hallway, where old friends reunited and new connections were made among the elegantly dressed crowd. Guests were then ushered into the beautifully set dining area, where gourmet cuisine delighted every palate, and the candlelit ambiance continued to enchant.

A highlight of the night was the introduction of our Inaugural Member Awards, created to honour the dedication and contributions of outstanding individuals within our organization. It was a moving moment of pride and gratitude, warmly received by all.

We were deeply honoured by the presence of high-ranking representatives from the Swiss-Canadian business community, including prominent corporate sponsors, along with distinguished guests from the Swiss Embassy - notably the Deputy Head of Mission and the Consul General, who joined us in celebrating this milestone.

Thanks to our generous sponsors we could raffle off amazing prices, ranging from Swiss International Airlines tickets to a luxury DeLonghi coffee machine or Swissmar’s raclette and fondue sets, to mention a few. As the formal part of the evening gave way to celebration, the energy soared with our dynamic DJ, who filled the dance floor and kept the party going late into the night.

Thank you to everyone who made this evening such a success. From the incredible performances to the joyful connections and new traditions, this Gala was not only a celebration - it was a reflection of the strength and spirit of our SCCC community.

Longest Entrepreneur Member: Euromart (Bruno Arnold) -- represented by his wife Eleanor Arnold

Founded Euromart in 1962 and has been a member of the SCCC since the early years of the SCCC
Euromart specializes in sourcing foreign investment in existing quality real estate properties and in the development of significant new real estate opportunities in Canada and the USA
Participated in numerous events over the year

Longest Corporate Member: Swissmar (Daniel Oehy)

Swissmar is providing quality products such as raclettes, fonduces, etc, since 1983
Most generous sponsor; donated Swissmar products to all our events
Knows history of the Chamber and is friends with many founding members

Longest Personal Member: Arno Sigrist

Oldest member of the SCCC (turned 93 years on Dec 16)!
He joined the SCCC in the 1970s, soon after inception
Has not slowed down over the years and never missed a networking event
Arno passed on May 13, 2025 and is dearly missed

Most Engaged Member: Ingrid Läderach

Started Swiss Master in 1980, opened retail store at Bayview & York Mills in 1985, was in business for 35 years
Donated chocolates from Swiss Master for so many events and occasions, as long as she was in business
